Union Puertorriqueña de Ayuda Mutua : Photo Album
The Unión Puertorriqueña de Ayuda Mutua was an organization formed to help newly arrived Hispanics/Latinos to the region. They provided translation services as well as assistance going to places such as the doctor's office or governmental entities such as the Department of Social Services.

PODER : Photo Album
PODER is a university sponsored civic group that was formed in 1969. They originally formed the group to bring a greater awareness to the Hispanic population within the university. At this time, there were few Hispanic students represented at this educational level. They worked hard to bring more Hispanics to the University.

Agustin Pucho Olivencia Community Center : Photo Album
The Agustín "Pucho" Center was organized on the East Side of Buffalo. It was constructed by its own members in 1969. The center provided a venue for community events such as dances, weddings, funerals and other gatherings. The center was named after Agustín "Pucho" Olivencia because he is arguable the most noted and respected member of the community.

The Puerto Rican Chicano Committee was formed by a group of university students who were active within the community in 1973. These students were looking for ways to support the community through various social services. They provided services in the ways of Social services, health, education, sanitation, criminal justice, media and politics.

Los Tainos Senior Center Music and Community Events : Photo Album
Los Tainos Senior Citizens Program - This was an organization initially started by a group of Seniors who implemented influential ideas in regard to Senior Services, Housing and Benefits. Anna Cotton was very influential in establishing this organization. Los Taínos still exists to this day and provides quality housing for Senior Citizens.
